His research will focus on the coherent control of the rotational dynamics of single molecular ions with a femtosecond laser. This will enable unprecedented high resolution rotational spectroscopy and will pave the way for many fundamental investigations and technological achievements ranging from tests of Quantum ElectroDynamics to qubit logic operations.
He obtained his PhD from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris, France) in November 2016. His work consisted in the development of a trapped atom interferometer for short range forces measurement. He studied the impact of spin self-rephasing and more generally of atom interactions onto the sensitivity and the accuracy of the force sensor.
