We welcome Ltaief Ben Ltaief who will join the group of Marcel Mudrich on 6th November 2018 as a postdoctoral researcher. Ltaief will focus his research on the interaction of neutral clusters and nanodroplets with XUV radiation. The goal is to explore correlated decay processes in excited or ionized heterogeneous nanosystems. This research will be performed mainly at the AMO beamline of ASTRID2 using a new apparatus that incorporates an electron-ion coincidence imaging spectrometer. Ltaief has recently graduated from the University of Kassel, Germany, where he worked in the group of Prof. Arno Ehresmann. There, he worked mainly on synchrotron XUV spectroscopy of rare gas clusters, with a particular focus on interatomic Coulombic decay (ICD) processes.
