The Department of Physics and Astronomy / iNano and the Department of Engineering at Aarhus University are hosting a research project SunTune, funded by Innovation Fund Denmark. The goal of this project is to devise methods for improving the efficiency of solar cells by utilizing the long-wavelength light from the sun. The project employs nanotechnology for enhancing up-conversion of the photons, which have too low energy to be absorbed in the cell. For more details, see www.suntune.au.dk.
For the SunTune project, we are seeking a candidate for a 22 month postdoc. The candidate must have obtained his/her PhD degree and must have proven experience in electron-beam lithography. The postdoc will contribute to the manufacturing of nano-engineered materials for upconversion and will as such be a key person for the material-synthesis part of the research project. Knowledge of electron microscopy, RF-magnetron sputtering, and standard clean-room techniques is also required. In addition, the postdoc should enjoy daily interaction (co-supervision) of PhD, MSc and BSc students. Starting date is July 1, 2017.

Short-listing is used. Salary depends on seniority as agreed between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Confederation of Professional Associations.
